FQ Contractors Limited was founded by Managing Director Cristian Podina in 2009 and operates from our headquarters in Bermondsey, London. We have established an enviable reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget throughout the Greater London area.

Chef Executive
Cristian Podina
Our Chief Executive, Cristian Podina, formed FQ Contractors in 2009, building the company into what it is today. Leading from the front, Cristian is actively involved in every project, visiting all our sites daily and taking a complete hands-on approach. He is highly knowledgeable on all aspects of development and construction and excellent at creating innovative solutions to problems. Outside work, Cristian is a devoted family man who loves good food and football.

Finacial Director
Joanna Podina
Life and work partner to Cristian, Jo looks after the company’s finances and runs our office, dealing with personnel issues and ensuring everything runs smoothly. She has many talents, an excellent eye for kitchen & bathroom design, and the special touches that make a new development stand out. Jo also gets closely involved with all our clients and projects and is tenacious in finding the best deals for them. Outside of work, Jo is an avid reader and an excellent cook, often hosting dinner parties and get-togethers.
Structural Engineer
Ovidiu Cornea
Senior Project Manager Ovidiu, a qualified structural engineer with an in-depth knowledge of mechanical & electrical services, has been with FQ since 2016 and has worked closely with Cristian and oversees all structural & M&E operations on our projects. Hard-working, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dedicated Ovidiu ensures we meet the highest possible building standards. Outside of work, Ovidiu enjoys collecting antique coins, stamps, books, toys, and playing tennis.
Project Manager
Ioan Gabor
Senior Project Manager Nelu specialises in interior fit-out and finishing of our projects, and he has an excellent eye for detail. He originally trained as a plasterer and joined FQ at the beginning of 2009. Committed to career development, Nelu worked through the ranks at FQ in his 15 years with us to achieve his current position by taking advantage of every training opportunity to become a valuable and trusted colleague and team member. Nelu enjoys family life, tennis, football, and supporting Manchester City and Millwall outside work!
Office Manager
Andrada Gligor
Our Office Manager, Andrada, has been with FQ since 2010, and if you become one of our valued clients, you will undoubtedly get to know her!
In addition to her general admin role, Andrada deals tirelessly with officialdom on our client’s behalf, all those niggly issues with local authorities, utility suppliers, highways and the environment, ensuring that warranty providers and building inspectors receive all the paperwork, information and updates that they require, Andrada is on top of the lot. Andrada is an invaluable team member who enjoys walking, sightseeing, home renovations, and reading when she is not working.
